My husband became hooked on the sugar free lemonade made by Tropicana. Even though he often diluted it with water because it seemed super sweet to him, he was going through two large jugs of it per day! When they started selling it in smaller containers at the same price, I became highly motivated to create my own version. After some trial and error, I came up with the following blend that is far less expensive and can be customized to your tastes for sweetness and intensity.
Lemonade Mix
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon lemon powder
- 1 teaspoon citric acid
- ½ cup granulated sweetener *see note*
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together in an airtight container. A pint sized mason jar is perfect for this.
- To make lemonade, mix two tablespoons of the mixture with 16 ounces of cold water. Pour over ice.
- Feel free to use more or less of the mixture or to adjust the amount of water and ice to your liking.
