Iced Tea
While it may seem silly to include a recipe for unsweetened iced tea, the art of brewing good tea is lost on those who actually boil tea bags! We have to teach them better. Whether you use this tea as your Thanksgiving table wine or use it to make an Arnold Palmer, you need the mellow sunshiny taste of real brewed tea that isn't bitter and won't disappoint.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 6 tea bags
- Additional cold water, as needed
Instructions
- In a pot over high heat, bring the water to a rolling boil. After the water boils, remove the pot from the heat and let sit for 1 full minute, then add the tea bags.
- Place the lid on the pot and allow to steep for at least 1 hour
- After the tea has steeped, pour the concentrated tea into a gallon-sized pitcher. The tea will not fill the pitcher, so use additional cold water to fill it.
- Refrigerate any leftovers for up to a week.
Notes
I use the regular size tea bags when I make this iced tea. If you have the family size, 1 family size tea bag is equivalent to 4 regular size.
