Keto Living Shopping List

I know you’ve been waiting a while on this book. So have I! The final page count was exactly 400 pages, which the publisher told me was my limit. The designers had to squeeze more than a few pages together to make it all fit. Thankfully, it’s done!

As you ready your kitchen to dive into some new recipes, I put together a list of pantry items that are commonly used throughout the book. Two things you need to know:

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms from Keto Living Day by Day
  1. Because this is a beginner book, I tried to stick with simple, easy ingredients that nearly everyone likes. These are recipes for people who don’t love to be in the kitchen, but who want or need to be keto. Many of these recipes can be made in 30 minutes or less, which matters a lot to me in our busy lives.
  2. Nearly every ingredient is available at your local grocer. There may be a few exceptions if you are in a very rural area. If you use a different brand from the brand I use, please check the carb count and ingredients.

Here’s the simple list that I put together. I will add to it as folks discover items, and favorite recipes.

~Whey Protein Isolate (I use 0 carb Isopure brand available at GNC or on Amazon)
~Coconut aminos (soy sauce or tamari work if you reduce the salt in the recipe, but I personally avoid soy. You can purchase coconut aminos on Netrition or on Amazon.)
~Dried dill
~Garlic powder
~Chili powder
~Cumin
~Onion powder
~Dried parsley
~Jane’s Crazy Salt (in our local stores, but also on Amazon. Any seasoning salt without sugar may work)
~Sesame seeds
~Sesame oil
~8 ounce can tomato sauce (I buy at Aldi for $0.25)

~canned oysters (YES! even if you hate oysters. You’re only gonna use the juice for an Asian dish)
~Red Boat fish sauce (or any brand without sugar)
~Rice wine vinegar
~Red wine vinegar
~olive oil (manzanilla is very mild if you don’t like the taste of olives)

Beyond those pantry items, you will want to purchase your favorite meats, veggies, dairy, and eggs. I bet much of it is already in your kitchen!
