Instructions
Use a 1.5-quart saucepan, heat the heavy cream and almond milk on low heat, stirring with a wire whisk.
Add the egg yolks. Continue whisking on low heat until the mixture begins to simmer. Heat should come to 165°F.
Add the sweetener and whisk until well dissolved.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, lime juice, lime zest, and liquid sweetener. Let cool in the fridge.
When cooled, follow the directions on your manufacturer’s ice cream maker.
To make the crumb topping, mix all ingredients together until a coarse crumb. Sprinkle over individual servings.
